The Day I Brought Her Home

On 18/10/2012 Cortina was brought home not towered but driven all the way from Madampe to Mount Lavnia Sri Lanaka Thats 100KM dead and I only pumped 13 Liters (Rs.2000LKR) of Petrol and it had about another half a liter left in it I'm guessing it did at least 13Km per liter to be fair

These are the Pics I got of the Cortina at Madapmpe When we went to have a look at it.

Then She Came home with us We were Shaken to death when we got home as the Car made a lot of Noice and had a Clutch chatter on the First gear or so but We made it home with out any other issue :D

Details Of the Cortina And Its Future

Hey there ! I'm a 18 year old kid from Sri Lanka who is obsessed with Classic cars Specially British/American So one day I and a bunch of my Friends went to have a look at a Tina that was for sale 100Km from where I was living And guess what I Bought it, Its a Ford Cortina Mk3 XL which was manufactured in 1976 And that had a engine conversion From a 1600 Pinto to a Toyota 3A 1500CC Engine  And this Xl will be converted into a GXL with the quad head Lamps thats as much as you have to know and rest of the restoration will be posted on the blog bit by bit!
